JUNIOR BROADWAY COMES TO  STC!

Salem Theater Company is now offering Educational Programming for Young Performers! All classes begin the week of September 13^th and run for 12 weeks ending the week of December 7^th.

 

Classes begin the week of September 13^th and run through December 7.  There are no classes on Thanksgiving week.  Parents are invited to attend a showcase during the final class the week of December 7.

 

JUNIOR BROADWAY ACTORS  - Course Fee $240

 

Tuesday: 3:30 to 4:30 Junior Broadway Actors  for Grades 3 to 5

Tuesday 4:45 to 5:45 Junior Broadway Actors  for Grades 6 to 8

 

Your child will be exploring the exciting world of Stagecraft. We will be learning  improvisation, pantomime, sense memory, vocal projection, scenes from plays and musicals, and much more. Anyone from beginner to advanced is welcome to join us and release their inner actor! At the end of the term parents should be prepared attend our performance as your young actors show what they have learned!

   

JUNIOR BROADWAY SINGERS  - Course Fee $240

 

Wednesday: 3:30 to 4:30 Junior Broadway Singers  - Grades 3 to 5

Wednesday: 4:45 to 5:45 Junior Broadway Singers  - Grades 6 to 8

 

 

In Junior Broadway Singers we will be exploring the Broadway Songbook, and learning Broadway Vocal Techniques.

 

If you’ve ever left the theater singing one of your favorite tunes, this class is for your child. We will be singing selections from Wicked, Cats, Phantom Of The Opera, Secret Garden, Les Miserable, Music Man, Gypsy, and many more. Your child will be part of STC's Broadway Chorus!! Anyone from beginners to advanced is encouraged to join.   Parent may join us at the end of the term for our Broadway Review (you may find yourself singing along).

  

JUNIOR BROADWAY AUDITIONS  (OR HOW TO GET A GREAT PART IN A SHOW!) - Course Fee $240

 

Thursday: 3:30 to 4:30 Junior Broadway Auditions  -  grades 3 to 5

Thursday: 4:45 to 5:45 Junior Broadway Auditions  -  grades 6 to 8

 

This course is for the young actor/singer who is ready to spread his or her wings and fly onto a stage. Your child will learn how to perform a monologue and a song for audition settings. Even non-singers are encouraged. There are many songs ‘just right’ for them! The students will also get insider tips on how to “Win” an audition.  beginners to advanced are encouraged. The most important thing is a desire to perform. At the end of the term, parents are invited to our “Junior Broadway” to be wowed by our Performers.

Classes end the week of December 7^th (Performance Week)

 

The fee is (12x20) $240.00 per student due by Tuesday, September 7^th.
