We are our own worst enemies when we cannot reconcile loss, love, anger, and the dark corners of our own mind. ne of William Shakespeare’s most beautiful, thoughtful, and sad tragedies, Hamlet tells the story of a young man who discovers and loses himself all at the same time as he seeks revenge for the murder of his father. Staged in the intimate black box space the production ask audience members to truly take part in Hamlet’s tragic journey of self-discovery while unable to reconcile loss, love, anger and the dark corners of one’s mind.

This production of Hamlet marks the final performance at 90 Lafayette Street, a space Salem Theatre has called home for the last five years. The company packs up at the end of the run and will set down new roots just one block away in a prime, raw space at Shetland Park on Congress Street.
