Salem Theatre Company (STC) is proud to present the 2016 Season at its new, larger space at 35 Congress Street.
The season begins in March with a modern twist on the classic tale of tragedy, MEDEA. Following that is Steven Dietz’s clever comedy of suspicion PRIVATE EYES in April. The summer will begin with Tony Kushner’s Tony Award winning epic tale ANGELS IN AMERICA. The end of summer will bring to the stage the profound, dark comedy THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. This fall will see the return of last season’s acclaimed production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. The season will end in December with a HOLIDAY REPERTORY.
In addition to six Main Stage productions the 2016 Season will see the return of the annual ten-minute play festival MOMENTS OF PLAY. Also being developed is a July education workshop, staged readings and a presentation of an original work - details to be announced.
Tickets will be on sale soon. Stay tuned!
